About Livable El Cerrito
My name is Betsy Bashor and I started Livable El Cerrito to provide an independent perspective on local issues that affect our lives. I am a retired journalist, editor, and elementary school teacher and have lived in El Cerrito since 1989. I walked door to door talking to residents during the 2024 election campaign, and I found that many people wanted to know more about local issues and local government actions. However, busy lives prevent them from attending most of these events. I plan to cover as many of the events and issues as I can and post information here.
